Here’s a list of happy films, and an interview I did with a fan who used to do an impression of me in the ‘90s. 😆
I’ll be back to my scheduled programming next week. 😃

I often have a movie playing in the background as the soundtrack of my days. In times like these, I find myself choosing comedy and nostalgia. I find that a little cinematic nostalgia can work wonders to lift our spirits. So, let's take a trip down memory lane with feel-good films from the 1970s to the 1990s.
(Respond to this email if you have feel-good nostalgic films I should add to this list, and I’ll write a part two.)
🍿🍿🍿
Oh, God! (1977)
(my favorite! Well, Harold and Maude is my favorite film but this one is one of my fav childhood comfort films.)
If God appeared in your bathroom looking like George Burns, you’d listen too. A heavenly dose of wit and wisdom—no burning bush required.
Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986)
Life moves pretty fast; if you don't stop and watch this classic, you might miss it.
We had a double feature Wednesday night of the following two. Here’s proof of our enjoyment. (We freaked out the dog a little.) 🤣
The Jazz Singer (1980)
🎤 A voice, a dream, a choice.
Jess Robin (Neil Diamond) must choose between his family’s traditions and his passion for rock and roll. With unforgettable songs like America and Love on the Rocks, this is a story of love, sacrifice, and finding your true voice.
Somewhere in Time (1980)
⏳ A love that transcends time.
When playwright Richard Collier (Christopher Reeve) falls for a woman from the past (Jane Seymour), he wills himself back in time to find her. A sweeping romance of fate, devotion, and the power of love.
Groundhog Day (1993)
Stuck in a time loop? At least you can relive this comedy gold again and again.
Arthur (1981)
Dudley Moore's portrayal of a millionaire playboy proves that money can't buy happiness, but it can fund a lot of laughs.
Heaven Can Wait (1978)
Warren Beatty fumbles his way through the afterlife mix-up of the century. Who knew being dead could be this complicated—and this charming?
Back to the Future (1985)
Great Scott! Time travel, ’80s vibes, and a DeLorean!
Mrs. Doubtfire (1993)
I love him as Mork from Ork, and I love him in a dress. Basically, I just love Robin Williams.
Some more hits from the ‘90s? The nationally syndicated TV show I hosted and co-produced:
BZZZ! (1995-1997)
Recently, I was interviewed by Richard Wilmore, a charming host and fan of the dating game show I hosted in the 90s. He confessed to doing an impression of me back then. I love that I inspired him to host like Carol Burnett inspired me to find my way to being on television.
